Terms and Conditions

Payments
1.1. Gown must have paid in full before collecting/picking up your order.
1.2. Deposit is minimum $1000 when the measurements and order is taken, for any gown over $4000 the deposit amount is $2000.
1.3. Payments are split into four after the deposit amount has been deducted from the total cost and are to be paid off in equal priced intervals at each fitting. (If the bride is from interstate/internationally based then the amount will be divided equally based on the number of fittings)
1.4. Additional payments can be made as the client pleases, however the minimum payments must still be paid at each fitting.

Refunds and Cancellations
2.1. Regardless of time frame cancellation; the deposit is non-refundable.
2.1. If the order is cancelled after the calico fitting, all monies paid up to that date must be forfeited.
2.3. If the order is cancelled after the first fitting, all monies paid up to that date must be forfeited.
2.4. If the order is cancelled after the second fitting, all monies paid up to that date must be forfeited.
2.5. If the order is cancelled after the third fitting, all monies paid up to that date must be forfeited.
2.6. Any order that has been cancelled with an outstanding balance (see the above) the order will remain the property of Brides of Armadale unless all outstanding payments are settled.
2.7. If the order is cancelled and the gown is not collected from Brides of Armadale within 12 months of cancellation date, then the gown is officially property of Brides of Armadale. The client will no longer have any authority over the gown/property.
2.8. Veils – if already constructed are non-refundable. If the veil has not been constructed a 50% refund will be granted.
2.9. Any jewellery, accessories (including belts, add on beading, detachable items etc.) are non-refundable.

Rush Fee’s
3.1. If the order is placed within 3 months of the due date/pick up date (two weeks prior to the wedding date) there is a 15% surcharge on the total cost of the order. (Additional 3 weeks are required if February is a part of the 3 months period)
3.2. If the order is placed within 4 months of the due date/pickup date (two weeks prior to the wedding date) there is a 10% surcharge on the total cost of the order. (Additional 3 weeks are required if February is a part of the 4 months period)

Fittings and Alterations
4.1. After the initial order date any design changes, depending on the change may incur a charge.
4.2. Limited design changes can be made once the calico has been approved (which is at the end of the calico appointment) and depending on the change, will determine the additional costs. This will be assessed on a case to case basis.
4.3. Any additional add on requirements such as extra beading, lace etc. Will incur a charge.
4.4. Fittings times for purchased gowns are available as below.
4.5. Monday, Tuesday between 10am and 4pm (the last appointment being 4pm and the first 10am)
4.6. Wednesday and Thursday from 11am to 7pm (the last appointment being 7pm, first 11am)
4.7. Friday 11am to 4pm (the last appointment being 4pm, first being 11am)
4.8. Any requirements for fittings on a Saturday will incur a $100 additional fee, unless the bride herself is living interstate or overseas. Only then will there be an exception made for a Saturday fitting.

Important things to be aware of going forward
5.1. Often your front hem application lace will not be applied until after your fitting with your chosen bridal shoes, regardless of which fitting this applies to.
5.2. It is highly recommended that the client brings her chosen bridal shoes on the first fabric fitting, if the bride changes shoes without informing Brides of Armadale and the hem work has been completed, Brides of Armadale holds no responsibility to the length of the gown, the hem will only be done again with additional charges – to be determined on a case to case basis.
5.3. The shoe height brought at the fabric fitting must be final choice of shoe as the above is applicable. The hem length cannot be extended if the shoe change is higher, only shortened.
5.4. Depending on the lace and the chosen gown will depend if the side seam lace has been fully sewn down, on occasion due to needing to be altered your gown fitting may have this lace not fully tacked down, but it will be once all alterations have been completed.
5.5. Please see the above as is applicable on buttons and beading.
5.6. As our gowns are all handmade and made to measure on the purchaser’s measurements, there may be discrepancies in lace placement from the sample gown due to difference in sizing.
5.7. As our gowns are all handmade and made to measure on the purchaser’s measurements, there may be discrepancies in colour to the sample gown as they are not mass produced and different dye batches in fabrics may vary slightly in colour tone.
5.8. As our gowns are all handmade and made to measure on the purchaser’s measurements, photos of the sample gown on the purchaser’s body may not be used in comparison to the made to measure dress.
5.9. As our sample gowns are worn by many potential brides, over time their colour and quality may have deteriorated, this colouring is not to be used in comparison to the fresh colour of the made to measure gown.

Intellectual property
6.1. Advice given to brides/clients from the Brides of Armadale staff are subject to each individual bride and may not be applicable to every bride. The client/bride makes the decision on if she would like to take this advice. After the order date Brides of Armadale staff and not responsible for the clients change of mind.
6.2. All designs/gowns created/designed with Brides of Armadale staff are the intellectual property of Brides of Armadale. Brides of Armadale hold all rights to this design and can use it in however they please.

Custom gown design with Australian purchase and supplied lace.
7.1 The FULL cost of the chosen lace from the suppliers (Tyler’s Fabrics, Richmond or Silk World, Collingwood) must be paid IN FULL on the appointment when the order and deposit is taken, this is an additional cost to the standard $1000 deposit. This is to secure the lace for the individual order, it is non-refundable and must be paid to Brides of Armadale. If the order is cancelled the lace becomes property of Brides of Armadale and all monies paid must be forfeited.
