5. Important things to be aware of going forward
5.1. Often your front hem application lace will not be applied until after your fitting with your chosen bridal shoes, regardless of which fitting this applies to.
5.2. It is highly recommended that the client brings her chosen bridal shoes on the first fabric fitting, if the bride changes shoes without informing Brides of Armadale and the hem work has been completed, Brides of Armadale holds no responsibility to the length of the gown, the hem will only be done again with additional charges – to be determined on a case-to-case basis.
5.3. The shoe height chosen and worn at the fabric fitting must be final choice of shoe height as the above is applicable. The hem length cannot be extended if the shoe change is higher, only shortened. See 5.2, if the gown has already been hemmed then additional charged will apply for a shoe height change.
5.4. Depending on the lace and the chosen gown will depend if the side seam lace has been fully sewn down, on occasion due to needing to be altered your gown fitting may have this lace not fully tacked down, but it will be once all alterations have been completed.
5.5. Please see the above as is applicable on buttons and beading.
5.6. As our gowns are all handmade and made to measure on the purchaser’s measurements, there may be discrepancies in lace placement from the sample gown due to difference in sizing.
5.7. As our gowns are all handmade and made to measure on the purchaser’s measurements, there may be discrepancies in colour to the sample gown as they are not mass produced and different dye batches in fabrics may vary slightly in colour tone.
5.8. As our gowns are all handmade and made to measure on the purchaser’s measurements, photos of the sample gown may not be used in comparison to the made to measure dress.
5.9. As our sample gowns are worn by many potential brides, over time their colour and quality may have deteriorated, this colouring is not to be used in comparison to the fresh colour of the made to measure gown.

6. Intellectual property
6.1. Advice given to brides/clients from the Brides of Armadale staff are subject to each individual bride and may not be applicable to every bride. The client/bride makes the decision on if she would like to take this advice. After the order date Brides of Armadale staff and not responsible for the clients change of mind.

7.1 The FULL cost of the chosen lace from the suppliers (Tyler’s Fabrics, Richmond or Silk World, Collingwood) must be paid IN FULL on the appointment when the order and deposit is taken, this is an additional cost to the deposit. This is to secure the lace for the individual order, it is non-refundable and must be paid to Brides of Armadale. If the order is cancelled the lace becomes property of Brides of Armadale and all monies paid must be forfeited.

8. Pregnancy
8.1 If the bride falls pregnant after purchasing her gown and the wedding is within the first three months of the pregnancy then the same gown can be tailored to fit – depending on how large the baby bump is. (see 9.2)
8.2 If the bride is rescheduling the wedding due to a pregnancy, the purchased gown will be placed on hold for a maximum of 18 months, if the wedding is not rescheduled to be within this 18 months then the gown will become property of Brides of Armadale and all monies paid up to this date must be forfeited.

8.4 Brides of Armadale holds no responsibility to tailoring a gown due to a pregnancy as not all gowns can be fitted to a pregnant body.
8.5 Brides of Armadale will work alongside with the bride, redesigning their purchased gown to be one that is not fitted and have a fall from the empire line (under the bust) depending on the re-design will determine if there are any additional charges.
8.6 If the mock-up gown has already been made/fitted and/if the gown is partially or fully constructed, there will be additional charges for a re-design and re-make as a new gown must be made and a new mock-up fitting also.

9. Weight-Loss
9.1 If the bride loses four or more inches in any physical circumference in-between the mock-up calico fitting and the first gown fitting, there will be an additional charge of $1500 due to extreme tailoring and re-shaping of the gown.
9.2 Brides of Armadale gowns have a 2-inch maximum seam allowance, meaning that the dress can only be made larger by 1.5 inches maximum, weight gain beyond a 1.5-inch increase means that the gown will no longer fit nor can be tailored to fit. Where this case arises, the bride will need to purchase a new gown in full including the applicable rush fees in time for the wedding. See Point 3 – Rush fees
