Review – I was a destination bride and before I knew what dress I wanted for my special day I knew exactly who I wanted to make it and that was the lovely Suzie and the team at Brides of Armadale.
They created my sister’s dream dress 2 years ago and going along to her appointments was such a joy it did not take long before I knew I would be coming back here for my turn.
I had found my inspiration and hoofed it to BOA to share with Suz and see if we could bring it to life. Like my sister’s experience Suzie was overflowing with excitement and this is how every single appointment would be when I walked in. She regularly checked in and updated me on how things were going and always had me at ease.
Now things did not go without a hitch but this is what showed me what these ladies are made of. Heaven and earth was pulled to make sure my dress was exactly how I had envisioned and they did not rest nor did they ever make me feel like I was an unreasonable bride. As someone who can be conflict averse and a people pleaser, it meant the world that I could speak my mind and have such a kind and open communication.
My dress was better than my original inspiration. Nothing had ever fit better or made me feel as beautiful. The sourcing of the exact fabrics to the boning and structure I was after, it was so perfect.
I was one of the lucky ones who had Suzie join me on my wedding day in Greece. It was a joy to have her see her work come to life on the day and to have her support, fluffing my dress for photos and just guiding me. This was above and way beyond. I now have a wonderful friend from this experience.
Finding the right person to create my dress was far more important than the dress itself. My entire year was filled with laughs and excitement because of her and these are the memories I get to take away from my bridal journey as well as my gorgeous dress which holds so many unique and dear memories now.
